Charlotte is an Intern at Nexus Planning, supporting a range of planning projects while completing her MSc in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Birmingham.
Charlotte joined Nexus in March 2026 to support the Birmingham team. Her role involves assisting colleagues across a range of planning projects, including mixed-use schemes and wider planning work across the office.
She has also been assisting the Manchester team with retail studies, including the preparation of town centre health checks and research to support evidence-led planning work.
Before joining Nexus, Charlotte gained experience within private consultancy and completed a four-month placement with the National Trust’s West Midlands Planning team, working on a range of properties including those within UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Charlotte is interested in developing experience across the full breadth of work at Nexus Planning, with a particular focus on regeneration and retail-led schemes. She is also a committee member of the RTPI West Midlands Young Planners network.
