Rob is an Executive Director with more than 25 years’ experience providing strategic planning advice, specialising in retail, leisure and town centre development.

Rob joined Nexus Planning in 2015. He provides strategic retail and residential planning advice across the UK and Ireland and is an accomplished Expert Witness at Inquiry.

He counts around 100 local authorities as clients and has produced multiple evidence-base studies for local authorities. Rob was appointed as an Expert to the English Government’s High Streets Task Force and is retained by the Northern Irish Executive to provide retail planning advice.

Rob has also led large retail, leisure and mixed-use schemes for private sector clients across the UK and Europe. His work includes planning applications, appeal preparation, written representations and appearing as Expert Witness at Inquiry.

Rob heads up Nexus Analytics & Research, an experienced team of demographic, economic and GIS specialists helping organisations present the positive impacts of their planning applications through meaningful evidence. Before joining Nexus, Rob worked at WYG from 2001 to 2015, progressing from Graduate to Director.
