Hywel is a Director specialising in strategic land promotion and residential development projects across the South of England.
Hywel joined Nexus Planning as a Senior Planner in 2017 and has progressed through the business. Having initially joined the Reading office, he has played a key role in establishing and growing the Bristol office since 2022.
His experience includes promoting land through Local Plan processes, managing planning applications and appeals, and advising clients on a range of strategic residential developments.
Hywel works on sites ranging from smaller-scale schemes to complex urban extensions with significant infrastructure requirements. He regularly appears at Local Plan Examination Hearings and Planning Appeal Hearings.
His clients include Hallam Land, Lands Improvement Holdings, Gleeson Land and Taylor Wimpey. Alongside his strategic land work, Hywel has secured planning permissions for a winery and events venue in Wiltshire and a high ropes course within the Olympic Park. He is also a Nexus Mental Health First Aider and a member of the Nexus Employee Forum.
