Mahmood is Head of People at Nexus Planning, responsible for leading and developing the company’s people strategy.

Mahmood joined Nexus in 2025. His role focuses on colleague engagement, organisational development and supporting the continued growth of Nexus as a positive and collaborative place to work.

He works with teams across the business to develop and implement people activity, helping to create an environment where colleagues can thrive in their roles.

Mahmood brings more than 25 years’ experience in HR, leadership and organisational change roles. He has worked with a wide range of organisations in the financial and professional services sectors, from global banks to SMEs and consultancy businesses.

His expertise includes delivering organisational and people change, improving operational HR practices and building colleague engagement. Mahmood also has extensive experience in mentoring, coaching and mediation, with international HR experience spanning Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
